Starting Salary: $36,000
Responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled and skilled plumbing, HVAC, electrical building maintenance work involves the repair and replacement of items such as window glass, doors, gutters, cabinets, walls, ceilings, toilets, faucets, water lines, electrical outlets, and light fixtures. Manual labor- tasks involved in the landscaping and grounds maintenance at MCHA properties and related facilities, including buildings, recreation areas, playgrounds and related equipment, in accordance with area of assignment.
Person must have a High School diploma or GED. Other specialized certifications are preferred but not required.
A minimum of two years of building or apartment maintenance/grounds and/or landscape maintenance work experience is needed. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
This position requires a valid Florida driver’s license, able to pass a background check, able to lift up to 50 pounds, be able to drive a pickup truck or van, and be insurable under the agency’s auto insurance policy. In addition, the person must be able to read, write and speak English.
